Welcome to the Where To Begin Community where we turn awareness into action…
Tired of trying to improve yourself through random podcast episodes, books, a little therapy here and there, social media posts, etc.?
Wish there was a roadmap that was simple and effective for becoming more self-aware, more self-regulated and for having the relationships you really want?
Want to connect with others who are interested in being more humanKIND too?
Relationships, emotional and mental health often feel like a puzzle: we know the pieces - Listen to understand others, be present, pause before we say or do something disconnecting when we have uncomfortable feelings, don’t gaslight ourselves or others and more - but putting them together can be surprisingly elusive. Why? Because knowing what we need to be well is only part of the equation; the real challenge lies in developing the skills to turn that knowledge into action.
In the Where To Begin Membership Space we explore the social-emotional intelligence skills necessary to bridge the gap between awareness and implementation. Using evidence-based tools and strategies, you will learn how to move beyond fleeting “aha” moments to create meaningful and sustainable change in your life. And don’t worry…this work can be a lot more enjoyable than you think! Give it a chance and you’ll see how tiny shifts in what you think, feel, say and do pay off massively over time in all facets of your life.
Join me and let’s make the discomfort of developing our social emotional fluency our b*tch!

What is Social Emotional Fluency and Why Does it Matter?
We were taught how to tie our shoe laces, solve math problems, drive a car and more yet never taught the steps to set healthy boundaries, process emotions, navigate conflict, be self aware, all of which foster social emotional intelligence which is essential to be emotionally, mentally and relationally well!
Social Emotional Intelligence is the ability to be aware of our own thoughts, feelings and behaviors and manage them in different contexts in order to experience mental and relational well-being, even in challenging situations.
Social Emotional Intelligence encompasses many skill sets, including stress management, resilience, managing conflict productively, leaning into change, teamwork and collaboration, trust building and overall, more trauma-informed environments for all.
We also know that kids learn by observation, repetition and imitation so we need to develop our own social emotional intelligence in order for our kids to build character and be well.
I lean into the First Nations Hierarchy of Needs (FORGET Maslow’s Hierarchy please!) as a framework for developing a transformative community that welcomes ALL HUMANS to first develop their own humanKIND skills so they can then contribute to community well-being (community actualization) and the ongoing work of being connected to self, others and the earth (cultural perpetuity). Many of us are just a skill or two away from experiencing the self-trust, hope and safety we need to navigate such uncertain and wild times!
This membership is a one-stop resource to build the Social emotional skills you need to excel personally and professionally. Using practical, evidence-based tools, we bridge the gap between awareness and action - turning insights into meaningful, lasting change. here’s how you can get the most from the space:
MAKE THE DECISION to set aside time to care for yourself because choosing your well-being is the first step in this process. It is in the highest good of everyone you’re in relationship with that you lean into this work! Make it a calendar item that you don’t sacrifice unless it’s an emergency. When we are changing our patterns, we need to be intentional about creating new routines that support our well-being. Calendar alerts/dates with yourself can help!
SHOW UP for yourself and others by attending community calls and events! We are creating a village for people of all ages (16 and up!) to share their wisdom and learn from each other. This is humanity at it’s best!
TAKE ACTION on at least one thing in the 24 hours following attending/watching the calls and going through your notes (TAKE NOTES!). Taking action right away will help you begin to make the teeny, tiny shifts in what you think, say and do that pay off massively in the end. Remember, you get out of the space what you put into it!
APPLY ONE CONCEPT AT A TIME instead of overwhelming yourself with too much at once, focus on implementing one new tool or strategy each week. Small, consistent changes lead to lasting transformation.
REVISIT concepts you need a refresher on or dive deeper into other topics in the ever growing GROW library.
ENGAGE WITH COMMUNITY by connecting with others in the membership space to share insights, ask questions, and gain support. Learning is more effective when done in community, and you’ll gain fresh perspectives from others on a similar journey.
